Foto Friday

Nice, I just left a comment to a fellow blogger friend that boys should have Studly Dude like haircuts! Who am I to judge!:) No folks I do not believe that this will turn him "Gay"(give me a break) I just think its absolutely adorable that I was painting Mollie's nails for school and Hayden thought it was just the greatest idea!
Sweet Foto for Friday!

Have a great Labor Day weekend! We are off to see Crater Lake and Wild Life Safari! Whoot! Yes this is my birthday present from the Fam! Hopefully I will get some great pictures..what else could I ask for?

Letting Go!

Okay I doubt I can get through this blog with dry eyes..oh what am I saying just the thought of doing this blog and I was tearing up! I really don't think I need to explain this picture but what I see in this picture is pure fright for me! Oh the worries that are about to swarm me are overwhelming! Now, I know I just need to send up some prayers and let God have control but wow that's easier said than done! I have so many prayers for Mollie, I don't even know where to begin! Does that make sence?
Cute new school shoes don't they just scream Mollie!!
Today wasn't even the first day of school just the open house..."is it normal to tear up when you introduce your daughter to the teacher for the first time?" doh

Afterwords we went to the mall. Just me and her-what fun!!

Still LUV N my Van!

After 6 years and 89,000 Miles I'm still LOVING my van!! I should be a VW Euro van salesman- I'd be rich!!
But can I tell you the damage that raising three little ones in your van can do to such a pretty machine! It's true I feel like I'm raising my kids in this van. Its really the only consistent home they have had-hahahhaha-sad! No seriously, we do spend A lot of time in it especially on Fridays when I go to garage sales:)

So...It only took me FIVE hours of

sucking-scraping & screaming (at the kids to get out of my way) to get this beast clean today!!
and it still isn't like new! I told Bill he needed to put hard wood floors in it for me:) wouldn't that be smart!:)
Oh...I should also be a Magic Eraser salesman- those things Really are Magic!

Anyways.. while I was cleaning my van the last 6 years just flashed before my eyes and All the places we've been and All the memories of basically raising our kids up while driving this van-really actually made me sad to think someday it may not run anymore:( I scraped off some stickers on the window that Mollie put on there when she was about 3-sad:( there goes that! Mollie will never be three and sticking stickers on Everything anymore! I cleaned up vanilla milk that had spilled behind Hayden's cars seat-gross-I know- but it also makes me smile thinking that my kids feel So special when we drive through Starbucks and they get a coffee too(not always just when I'm feeling rich:)!!

I could go on and on about all the Crazy fun we have had in this van but I'm seriously crying, so I have to stop! I just hope it runs forever now- that's all!! And I'll start saving for Hardwood floors:)

America's Hero's

Bree and I had the Honor of photographing Oregon's All Military Gala 2008! The amazing part of this event was that there were 6 Medal of Honor Recipients in attendants! Now Bree and I really didn't understand the depth of importance of the "Medal of Honor" until after Bill saw the pictures and about crapped his pants and then explained to me, it's the Highest Award you can receive in any branch of military, and most are awarded posthumously.
After the event Bree has googled these guys and it Brings you to Tears!! WOW! I'm feeling like I wish I could go back and give these guys a HUG!

Oh...but He's So Proud!

Hayden was being suspiciously quiet!
So I go check on him and find him washing Green Tomatoes...surely those are toy tomatoes.

Hayden? What are you washing? So he shows me so Proudly! "Momatoes!"
Then he takes me to my Prized tomato plant to show me what he has found. D'oh! Hayden! "See MoMATOES!"
We picked our first Red tomatoes a couple days ago(YUM) and that's the first time Hayden even really noticed the plant..now hes all over it! Great, I guess we will be eating a lot of Fried Green Tomatoes. Is their even such a thing? .

Hayden

Well I went to take photos of a friends Little One and Hayden came along as my "helper". I was testing the light on him and Walla this is what I got. You don't see this look often from Hayden but lately when I stick the camera in his face he kinda gives me a blank stare. Then he screams at me ..." I SEE, I SEE" he wants to look at the camera to see his picture and sometimes he goes back to try a different "pose" ahhhh what am I doing to my kids?
But isn't it toooo precious?? Just LOVE!

Yes we had to ride that thing to get this picture! The kids were so excited..me I just focused on taking pics and not thinking about the small wire that was holding us up in the air 400million ft.

This is the view you see from Oregon Health Science University-the biggest hospital in Oregon!
PS. I know if I post enough Cool pics of Portland Im sure to have visitors soon!:)

Fun at the Fair

Okay when I let my kids on this ride I really had no idea how Fast it actually went. OMG.. My heart was pounding..I wanted to tell them to stop it(actually I tried but they didn't speak English-dang it) when I looked at Nolan and I seriously thought he was Going to S*&T his pants!:)
But by the time the ride was over and Nolan came running to me saying "That was the FUNNEST thing EVER!" I was laughing with relief!! I was actually proud of Nolan for being brave enough to get on there-Mollie well, she's always up for a Wild Ride( Greeaat).

The anticipation was way tooo exciting!!! Up to date this is now my all time FAVORITE picture! Pure Joy and you have got to love the fact that neither one of them have any front teeth. ahah

Off they go.. I can not believe my kids are now big enough to ride a Carney ride all by themselves.
I love this picture...Remember being a Kid looking Over what seemed like the WHOLE WORLD? This is so that picture.. Wheres Hayden you ask? Poor DUDE roasting in the stroller. It was 100 degrees outside....
Yes Folks it was 104 in Portland Oregon Today!!

Flash Backs

Whats up with Naked little boys wanting to sit on tractors? Hayden was running around naked today and then I saw him playing on his tractor. So immediately I got my camera because it was like a flash back to Nolan. Same age and everything soo funny! Its sad because I feel like it was just yesterday that this was Nolan sitting on his tractor naked!
Now Nolan is laughing at Hayden because that's so silly he would ever play naked on the tractor!!

Berry Picken

We went exploring two days ago and found all these blackberry bushes! We also went hiking though the woods and around every corner I think I heard... "OMG that's the Biggest tree I have ever seen!" "Whoa look at this one- Whoa look at that one!" No, it wasn't the kids saying that... it was Bill:) Although, if anyone heard him they would have thought he was five! He gets SO excited about stuff like that- its too funny!
So as we were hiking we saw an owl! Shoot myself -I didn't have my camera-I KNOW!! So we went back the next day with my camera but our little owl friend was gone:( or hiding! He was so close too it would have been an amazing picture-bummer!
But we took our buckets and picked the black berries and let Moose swim in the river...Happiest Dog EVER!!
Picking blackberries was fun for the kids but again I think Bill had more fun:) He ate about half and saved a few for pie! Nobody liked the pie though! We will try blackberry Milkshakes tonight!!Can you see the SMILE!!

Tried to capture just how Big the trees were but it's impossible. They are taller than you can see and if we all held hands we may fit around it!

Uhhhh Scary

No, I am not a huge Motorcycle fan but, my brother and his wife are. The kids have been asking to go for rides, so last visit there I let them. If I trust anybody to give my precious children rides on a death machine it's them. They are very good, well seasoned riders who happen to be very cautious(such a relief)!
Nolan's helmet had his name on it so he felt like a SUPER STAR! So funny! There was no way on earth Mollie was gonna wear that helmet even though the other one fit him better.
They Loved the Ride!! That's the Scary part!!

More Birthday!

Ever since Hayden had his 2ND birthday - every baked good out there is now called Birthday! :)Bill brought brownies home and Hayden felt like it was his God given right to eat as much as he wanted because its his Birthday!(ha) So last night he stood behind the stove for like an hour(swear) screaming..."MOM- more Birthday" " MOM more BIRTHDAY!!!"
What do you do??
Finally he gave up (after I said "No More Birthday Hayden" Like too many times)and I didn't cave...go Momma. But really, how do you reason with a two year old when it comes to his Birthday cake?:( Poor guy.
Hayden is so vocal he can say anything it amazes us. He goes around the house yelling(notice everything is a yell- must be youngest child syndrome) "Mom? Mom? Where are you? Where are You?" All the time... I guess, just because he can!
My newest saying is.. " Nothing ever Great came from Easy"
Hayden is SO NOT EASY but, He is also one of the Greatest little Boys I have ever been around!
